I’m looking forward to my gig this Wed(Jan 13) at Squashed Grapes with some of my favorite players(see details in the “shows” listings)> I always enjoy playing there and it’s a chance to hit some material I don’t get to on other gigs.

Also been doing some recording in my home studio. played some bass on 2 tracks for Chis Blondal’s new CD which is basically done now. I’m really excited for that one to come out because it has some real fine writing by the drummer Chris Blondal, and some real fine playing by the core quartet of Chris on drums, Vardan Ovsepian-acoustic piano, Edwin Livingston-acoustic bass and my self on guitar and electric sitar.

Also recorded some guitar for a new CD by my favorite singer to work with; Lois Mahalia. That one’s almost done as well.

Finally, did a long, grueling but fun session recording at the LACM studio with Adam Levy and myself-guitars, Teresa James-vocals, Tim Landers-bass and Dave Beyer-drums. We were recording all the tunes from the LACM Roots class so 10 tunes each in 2 separate keys. They will be for, form and style examples, playalongs and a future online version of the class..
